Stress in Ministry

Tri-Area is seeking to do what we can to change the above statistic, by offering what we are calling "Finishing Well" Workshops. The first of these workshops is scheduled for Saturday, January 25th, at Emmanuel Portales. Things will begin at 10 a.m. and conclude at noon. This first Finishing Well Workshop will be on Stress in Ministry.
Those who are familiar with our DOM's story know of how he says he "worked his way into the hospital" at a church in Texas and eventually ended up coming to FBC Portales. During his time in the hospital, the doctors ran several tests to discover why Dave had fainted while preaching in the early service of his church. They concluded that the cause was stress.
Dave and Donna have subsequently learned several lessons on dealing with stress in ministry that they want to pass along to others in Tri-Area. They plan on doing so in this two hour workshop for those in ministry and their spouses.
Childcare will be provided at no cost to participants needing to take advantage of it during the workshop. Afterward, those who can, will go to K & H Cocina in Portales for lunch (Dutch treat) and a time of fellowship. Registration is now open.
