Tri-Area Baptist Association offers three workshops for churches that are based on these six elements of the Missionary Task, developed by the International Mission Board. Each workshop is designed to be used by a church with their pastor, staff and lay leaders. A typical workshop would be held on a Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with lunch being provided. Tri-Area is prepared to provide all the necessary materials for each participant, plus the meal for the group attending the workshop. The three workshops are:
1. The Doing Discipleship & Developing Leaders Workshop - This workshop is designed to help a church incorporate the Discipleship and Leadership Development Elements into an annual strategy. The goal is to assist churches in developing a customized process for making disciples who make disciples and for developing church leaders.
2. The Connecting With Your Community & Evangelizing Your World Workshop - This workshop is designed to help a church incorporate the Entry, Evangelism, and Exit to Partnership Elements into an annual strategy. The goal is to assist churches in developing a customized strategy for connecting with their community, evangelizing their Jerusalem, and partnering with others to reach their Judea, Samaria, and the uttermost parts of the world.
3. The Healthy Church Formation Workshop - This workshop is designed to help a church incorporate the Healthy Church Formation Element into an annual strategy. The goal is to guide leaders in assessing where they need to improve their church’s health and developing a plan to do so by considering their church’s health in light of the IMB’s 12 Characteristics of a Healthy Church.
